Registrations are open for the online conference GLASS: Vision Reflection Imagination – a major event in the International Year of Glass 2022 for the South East Asia, Australasia and Oceania.
Over three days, scholars, artists, educators, curators, architects and manufacturers will share their knowledge, ideas and innovations on the past, present and future of glass, ranging from historical perspectives and innovations to the challenges of a twenty-first century dealing with climate change.
The program includes more than 40 speakers presenting on diverse topics- lighthouses, photography, 3D printing glass, and magic lanterns among the more unusual of them.
Caroline Miley will introduce her new book, Christian Waller Stained Glass: Towards the Light, a comprehensive survey and analysis of this artist’s mastery of glass from the late 1920s until her untimely death in 1954. Be with us at the end of the first day’s sessions when Caroline will give us a glimpse into an extraordinary life in art: 6.30 pm Tuesday 13 November.
